Kerala Co‑operative Milk Marketing Federation (KCMMF), widely known as Milma, was established in 1980 under India’s Operation Flood to replicate the successful “Anand Pattern” cooperative model . Operating through a three-tier cooperative structure—with village milk societies, three regional unions (Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Malabar), and a state-level federation—Milma empowers farmers directly in decision-making . Since taking over procurement and marketing in 1983 with just 45,000 farmer members, the federation has grown to over 10–12 lakh members across ~3,100+ cooperatives, supplying more than 12 lakh litres of milk daily and selling around 16–17 lakh litres per day .
Milma’s offerings have expanded far beyond liquid milk to include curd, ghee, ice cream, flavored drinks, biscuits, chocolates, and more, unified under a refreshed brand identity launched in 2023 to standardize quality, packaging, and visibility across Kerala . In the fiscal year 2023–24, Milma posted a turnover of over ₹4,300 crore, reflecting a 5–6 % year-on-year growth, supported by government schemes, farmer support initiatives, and infrastructure expansion—like cattle feed subsidies and in‑state milk powder production—to further reduce input costs and strengthen milk self-sufficiency .

ഒരു പ്രശസ്ത സ്ഥാപനത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് സ്റ്റോര്സ് /പര്‍ച്ചേസില്‍ 3 വര്‍ഷത്തെ പ്രവൃത്തിപരിചയം.
