Live Transcribe is an accessibility application designed for the deaf and hard of hearing.
With Google’s state-of-the-art automatic speech recognition technology, live transcription of text and speech on your screen is transliterated so that you can more easily participate in conversations around the world. You can also continue the conversation by typing your response on the screen.
Using Live Transcribe requires these additional steps in pixel 3 and above:
1. Open the Setting app on your device.
2. Tap ‘Accessibility’ and then ‘Live Transcribe’.
3. Tap ‘Use service’ and accept the permissions.
4. An accessibility button will now appear in the lower-right corner of your screen next to the Home button. Tap the Accessibility button or use the gesture.
